Xupes is the home of pre-owned luxury and watches and handbags.
Founded in 2009, the family-run retailer decided to open its first UK retail unit, at the Royal Exchange in the heart of the city of London.
Packed with high-end boutiques stocking some of the world’s most exclusive brands, this is the ideal location for Xupes’ on-line business to launch into bricks-and-mortar sites.
To enable occupation, Xupes was required to install a new shopfront and entrance into the Grade II listed façade, which also is in a conservation area. Planning permission, listed building consent and building regulations approvals were sensitively negotiated on behalf of Xupes.
This was an extremely challenging project due to compact workspace available and the fast-track programme needed to meet the pre-Christmas selling period. The very high level of finish needed to meet the client’s expectations only added to the complexity. The end product was well worth the effort and has proved to be a great success.
This flagship store has arrived on Royal Exchange Buildings with a bang! The sumptuous curves and luxurious lines of the upper level are hard for passers-by to ignore and provide a captivating backdrop to the high-end products on display.
The unit’s lower ground floor offers a series of intimate, soft seating and display areas which lend customers privacy when purchasing high value handbags or watches. The area is enhanced by the wall features and subtly recessed lighting, which display products to their best advantage.
