Cat A Refurbishment, 17,000 sqft

Consult and design

Our existing client, Savills IM asked JT3 to reinstate and lightly refurbish this iconic building, Rivington House in the heart of Shoreditch’s “Silicon Roundabout” IT Zone following LK Bennett’s receivership.  Rivington House had been used as the company’s HQ and showroom.

Manage and build

The works took about 8 weeks to complete.  Although over a number of floors, the project was relatively straightforward as it was completely vacant and Covid working restrictions were easy enough to manage. Logistical issues were presented by the location at the junction of busy roads:  Great Eastern Street and Rivington Street, with red routes and a large new hotel development adjacent. We overcame issues by instigating regular meetings with the building contractors for the hotel and by sharing and coordinating access on Rivington Street.

The Finished Space

There were a number of existing meeting rooms and show areas that required careful removal, to allow the space to be brought back to a Cat A condition in readiness for a new occupier.  All communal areas and toilets a were given a “light touch” upgrade and deep clean. All elements were brought back to near-new finish. The re-decoration (both internally and externally) along with new entrance matting and glazed handrails has given the office space a refreshed and modern look.
